Good wines of Italy: 4 stars
Decanter: Silver medal 91 points

This pure Verdicchio is the authentic expression of one of the native white grape varieties that best represents the history of Marche enology.
The soft pressing preserves the aromas and acidity of the must; the subsequent spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, monitored daily, guarantees the respect and exaltation of the varietal characteristics. Verdicchio Casa Lucciola is characterized by a bouquet of floral notes of mimosa, dandelion and melon; soon a refined mineral-sulphur opens up which gives it personality and fabric. On the palate it immediately denotes good structure and sapidity with a soft texture. Final of exotic fruit and anise. Satin cap. Bottling May 2021

Wine description

Description of the wine

The wine has fresh, well-defined primary aromas of medium intensity, characterized by green and citrus fruits, enhanced by a note of fresh aromatic grass (dill). On the palate the wine stands out more than on the nose, with a medium and well integrated alcohol content, a refreshing acidity, slightly more intense aromas and a marked minerality. The good balance between fruit and acidity [freshness], the good integration of alcohol and an almond finish with a certain persistence undoubtedly characterize it as a "good" wine.

Appearance: intense straw yellow with greenish hues
Nose: The nose has primary aromas of slight intensity, fresh and well defined. Characterized by green and citrus fruits.
Taste: It stands out more on the palate than on the nose, with a well-integrated alcohol content, refreshing acidity and more intense aromas with an initial trace of evolution in the bottle and a marked minerality.
Pairings: perfect with fish-based first courses or broths from the Marche coast, medium-aged cheeses, cold cuts or white poultry meat.
